With the vast open plains of the Karoo, mountainous terrain and 8 kms of river frontage, Riverside Hunting Lodge is a unique property. Situated to the west of Colesberg on the Zeekoei River (a tributary of the Orange River).
Accommodation
Hunting parties of up to 5 accommodated in a beautiful “Out of Africa” homestead furnished with antiques and hunting memorabilia.
Dining
Fabulous dining around a huge antique yellowwood table with gourmet food provided by the resident chef with organic produce directly off the farm. Specialities of succulent Karoo lamb, moist venison dishes and hearty casseroles with desserts made with thick farm cream.
Abundant birdlife including the imperial fish eagle, black eagle, blue crane and the rare Karoo Korhaan are a birdwatchers delight.
Springbuck, blesbuck and mountain reedbuck are available on site. Gemsbok and zebra on request.
Duck and guineafowl shooting is available (seasonal). Or try your hand at catching the elusive yellow fish in the river.
